Yes, late in the autumn, we have received snow. Today Brigantine's schools have been closed, yet the radio has yet to tell me whether the ones I attend in Mays Landing are closed. I initially expected the year to go without snow, seeing as the hot climate has spawned twenty-six hurricanes (they ran the list of names and went into the Greek alphabet), and I still believe this latest fall will warm up soon.
New Jersey hasn't been popular with snow these past years. I remember the blizzards that prevented us from driving, and I remember the large continental blizzard — where have they gone?
